Wonderful
Although the location was far from the downtown area, this area was perfect as my friend and I wanted to see the sunrise at Seongsan Ilchulbong which was just a few minutes walk away. It was super convenient and there were plenty of seafood restaurants as well. If you're looking for Muslim-friendly food, there's a restaurant called Jeju Ttukbaegi and a fish and chips store called Wilala (you have to request for a beer-free batter from the kind owner)! The staff at this hotel were very helpful and assisted my friend and I in ordering Coupang (food delivery) as we didn't have a Korean number. I would definitely come here for a stay again!
There was no lock on the balcony door and we were a little paranoid but everything turned out alright.

What was the highlight of Co-op City Hotel Seongsan
I'm likely to book this hotel again when I next visit the Seongsan area.
The rooms were adequate for us with appropriate toiletries and linen provided, bed was firm and comfortable (the pillows were much too soft though!), the covered car park was convenient and much appreciated on a rainy day; many local cafes and eating outlets were a comfortable stroll away. Nice views of the water and Ichulbong Peak from the front entrance and roof top. Hotel location is convenient for Seongsan Port to visit/explore Udo which was one of my reasons for staying here, and also convenient for access to country roads and highways for exploring Seogwipo and beyond. Would have liked to explore the scenic coastal roads but had no time and weather was not conducive when I did.
PIllows, as mentioned earlier, were very soft and not so comfortable : either too flat or, even when using 2 for the head, they tended to sag. The airconditioning was a bit noisy when it turned off and on with the thermostat regulation. The auto lighting feature came on suddenly and was a bit hard to regulate.
